Your ultimate 16-bit Treasure Box indeed! Except for the 2 licensed game (McDonaldLand and Yu Yu Hakusho), this basically completes your 16 - bit Treasure games collection for Mega Drive. Even includes the little seen Game Gear version of Gunstar Heroes.
Long live Sega and the golden era of video games!

Even more games to unlock too.... This collection is really well thought out, and offers a wealth of features. There are some good easter eggs included too:
Not only can you select the Japanese or Overseas version of each game (press select in any game to bring up the sub-menu), but you can also unlock the hidden Game Gear and 'prototype' versions of Gunstar Heroes and the Game Gear or Sega Master System versions of Dynamite Headdy. These can be accessed by holding right on the D-pad at the version-select prompt (in the sub-menu) for 12 seconds. They will stay unlocked if you then then 'save system file' after.
So theres even more than just the three classic Genesis/Megadrive titles here after all. I recommend all retro fans to buy this great package right now, before it goes out of print and becomes a sort after collectors package with a collectors price to match! You know it will...

Awesome! A selection of innovative action games, originally released on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console.
Gunstar Heroes & Alien Soldier are very entertaining shooters, and the graphics are still very impressive, with massive sprites and scaling effects. There is plenty of animated carnage and mayhem, power ups and massive bosses. If you are a fan of the side-scrolloing 'run and gun' games, these two titles require quick reflexes and plenty of skill, so there's a real challenge.
Dynamite Heady is a platform game where the epoonymous character flings his head to defeat enemies, as he's a puppet. It is pretty wacky and has some very original scenarios and outrageous bosses and a very listenable soundtrack.
Both Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier are quite hard to find, and it would cost a fair amount to purchase the originals. As this collection is very cheap, and features the original games, plus extras such a promotional artwork (as well as the option to improve the game resolution etc on the PS2), there is little reason to give this a miss.
I would like to end by saying that the original releases of these games, especially Alien Soldier featured some slowdown when too many things were happening on screen. Thankfully these editions do not have this problem, and people who own PAL originals could now play in 60hz speed. The emulation is also perfect.
Have fun children!

Its Gunstar Heroes! I loved Gunstar Heroes on my Sega Genesis, so why wouldnt I love my Gunstar Heroes on my PS2? And its not just Gunstar either! This game package comes with two more games as well, Dynamite Heady and Alien Soldier. I havent had too much time to play these games due to the fact that my CD ROM DRIVER disk is acting funky right now, but I did have enough time to beat Gunstar Heroes. Same great game, looks better on a big screen TV! You even have the option of switching everything into English with the "Overseas" Mode. All in all, if you liked Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Heady, or Alien Soldier on the Sega Genesis, then you'll love it on your PS2 just as much.
Good:
Same great Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Heady, and Alien Soldier from the good old Sega days.
Bad:
If you didnt like the games in the past, you wont like them now.
Ditto:
There's an archive of concept art and promotional stuff on here!
